External Pelvic Floor Manual Therapy is a hands-on approach that works with the muscles, fascia, and connective tissue surrounding the pelvis—without any internal contact. This includes the inner thighs, glutes, low back, sacrum, abdomen, and the external pelvic floor. These areas often hold layers of tension and compensation patterns that can affect posture, breath, digestion, sexual health, and overall well-being.

This work supports pelvic balance, mobility, and awareness, helping the body find more ease, strength, and adaptability.

Structural Integration

Based on the manual therapy of Dr. Ida Rolf, Structural Integration works to align the body in gravity through manipulation of the fascia using manual techniques, movement, and somatic awareness.

Bina Ickes is a recent graduate from East West College of Healing Arts. They have always held an interest in movement and the human body, and both performed and taught dance for many years. She also worked alongside physical therapists for a couple of years as an exercise aid. She took the structural bodywork elective with Jay as an instructor, and showed a great aptitude for this type of work. She will be offering structural deep tissue and movement based work with some influence from Tui Na and neuromuscular techniques. They have plans to become trained as a Structural Integrator and in pelvic floor manual therapy.

Maddie is a recent graduate of East West College of the Healing Arts, where she dove into a blend of Eastern and Western healing styles. Her background in collegiate soccer and movement continues to shape her approach. She focuses on musculoskeletal support, pain relief, and helping clients feel more connected to their bodies. Her sessions are guided by intuitive care and active listening, and she tailors her work to the individual and how they are feeling on the day of their session. Nervous system regulation and fascial release are central to her approach, helping the body settle before going into deeper work.

In her final term at East West, she studied structural bodywork, Tui Na, and elements of Craniosacral therapy. A Structural Bodywork elective with Jay opened up a whole new way of seeing the body, and Maddie plans to continue that path with Structural Integration training in 2026 through the Inner Dynamics Academy (IDA-SI).

Jay completed his initial bodywork program at East West College of Healing Arts in 2021. He found a passion for structural integration after taking a structural deep tissue course after graduation. In the spring of 2023, he attended the Soma Institute of Neuromuscular Integration on Whidbey Island where he became trained in the full 11-series. As part of the training, he also received the 11-series and found it to have even more of a profound effect on connecting with his body than he imagined. He is very excited to share this work with his community and help others explore their own relationship between mind, body, and spirit.
